BYRD REPLIES TO VICE REGAL CONGRATULATIONS ADMIRATION INCREASED Tress Association WELLINGTON, Today. The Governor-General has received the following message from Commander Byrd in reply to his Excellency’s telegram of congratulation:— “All the inhabitants of Little America send you their heartiesu thanks for your message. One result of our flight has been to increase more than ever my admiration and respect for Scott, Shackleton, Mawson and other British heroes, who have done so much more than anyone else for exploration and science in Antarctica. Our job with airplanes has been very easy indeed compared to their job without themWe often think of the courtesy and hospitality you extended to us.”
