A CRICKET SPLIT
ASSOCIATION V. HEADMASTER POSITION AT PUKEKOHE From Our Own Correspondent PUKEKOHE, Today. A split has occurred in the ranks of the Pukekohe Cricket Association. At a meeting held last evening, the headmaster of the Pukekohe Technical High School, Mr. W. P. J. Munro, advised that he had suspended three of the school’s players, as a result of what is understood to be a domestic dispute. Upon the application of the players concerned, the association decided to grant them a transfer to the Karaka Club, if not reinstated by the headmaster. Mr. Munro was waited on bv delegates and he declined to alter his previous decision. He said that should the transfer be granted he would withdraw the two school teams from the association. The association did not alter its decision, and the players were granted transfers.
