STRICTER SUPERVISION OF EXPLOSIVES DEPUTATION TO MINISTER Press Association WELLINGTON. Today. Stricter supervision in regard to the use of explosives in public works was urged by a deputation from the New Zealand Workers’ Union, which waited on the Acting-Prime Minister, the Hon. G. W. Forbes. Replying the Minister said there was no doubt that the large number of accidents pointed to the need for stricter supervision. He would take the matter up with the Minister of Public Works and see if the trouble could be rectified.
