MAN’S FINGERS AMPUTATED
! Mr. Claude Atherton, aged 32, of i Glen Avenue, Birkenhead, suffered severe injuries to his right hand as | the result of being struck by a pneui matic hammer while working at the plant of Messrs. A. and G. Price, engineers, in King's Drive, yesterday. The St. John Ambulance removed the injured man to the Auckland Hospital. where four fingers had to be amputated.
