NEW CIVIC NEARS COMPLETION

A HIVE of busy workers from ■*- ceiling to basement is the new Civic Theatre, which will open its doors to the public on Friday evening next.

In an amazingly short space of time the deserted square has been covered by a magnificent building towering above Queen Street, and community interest is intense. The opening feature will be “Three Live Ghosts,” one of the most successful talking comedies yet made, but it will appear as only part of a luxurious show which includes musical, both orchestral and organ, and a stage show on an unprecedented scale.
