“Bright Young People” Again
HAVALRY officers dressed as fairies, and titled women in trousers, were among the guests at an extraordinary "jug and bottle”, party which began shortly before midnight, and was continued well into the morning, in Glebe Place, Chelsea. All the Bright Y'oung People of London were there, and most of them had taken advantage of their hostesses’ invitation to appear dressed as they would wish to be, if, like the characters in 1 Dear Brutus,” they were given a “second chance.” Police Alert A crowd watched the arrival of the guests in their weird costumes, and police, in view of the complaints at recent Bright Y’oung People's parties kept an eye on the building. Halt the men turned up dressed as women, and half the girls as men. Music was provided by a band of street musicians who had been col-

Coffee-Stall Fish Cakes In the early hours of the morning a stack of steaming hot fish c ® was brought in from a neighbour®* coffee stall. . tM After the theatres had closed, whole of the chorus from “Y *** and Dream,” with Jean Barrydancer, turned up armed, like rest of the guests, with bottles. Among those who accepted ‘ tions were Lady Carisbrooke, Dean Paul, Miss Sybil Vincent, n of Lord D’Abernon: Mr. John. Miss Tallulah Bankhead. • David Plunkett-Green, and Miss u Farrar, the music-hall artist.
