HAWKE CUP ELIMINATION
RANGITIKEI SCORES WELL Press Association WANGANUI, Today. Play in the elimination match for the Hawke Cup began in Wanganui yesterday in dull weather. Rangitikei, in the first innings, scored 300, a feature of w*hich was the display by P. Burke, who carried his bat for 179, a record for Rangitikei in Hawke Cup matches. At the drawing of stumps Wanganui had scored 14 without loss of a wicket.
