GERMAN TAX REDUCTION

LOWERED DEBT UNDER YOUNG PLAN BALANCING THE BUDGET BERLIN, Friday. The Chancellor, Dr. Hermann Mueller, in a statement in the Reichstag, said part of the reduction of Germany’s debt under the Young reparation plan, about -£20,000,000, would be devoted to balancing the Budget, while the remainder, about £17,500,000, would be devoted to the reduciton of taxes, supplemented by about £20,000,000 from an increase in the duties on beer and tobacco. This would make available about £40,000,000 for the reduction of income tax and other taxes affecting industry.
