BAD SHILLING OUT
ADDED TO CHRISTCHURCH COUNTERFEITS MANY COINS IN CIRCULATION Special to THE S'U'S CHRISTCHURCH, Today. The latest addition to the series of counterfeit coins which has been cirj culating in Christchurch for ■ e **®*jj months is a spurious shilling. | yesterday, when a bad shilling "*** passed over a tobacconist's counter, i was thought that the only counter : feits about were florins and bal crowns. The shilling is dated 1919 and, | its worn appearance, seems to habeen handled a good deal. It is P®* fectly cast, but is lighter in colou* 1 and weight than a genuine coin, although its ring is almost true.
