Quick Scoring
SUBURBAN GAMES AT DOMAIN
Race Against Time
WICKETS at the Domain should be in fair order tomorrow —provided the weather holds—-when the third series of Suburban Association matches will be concluded. The games were started last Saturday, but play had to be abandoned after an hour when rain set in.
In the principal clash. Harbour Board at the crease is expected to run up a score, now that Breese and Dunning have joined partnership, that may give the competition holders, Green Lane, a difficult task to overtake in the afternoon. Still, if Seccombe strikes the bowling form he did during last Saturday’s play, Green Lane’s task may be lessened. Ellerslie has made a weak opening against Albion, but on a dry wicket should substantially improve its position, though a win for the new team would not be surprising. The contest between Ponsonby and W.Y.M.I. is expected to produce some interesting batting performances, and there, too, a win for Institute is possible. In all three games the fielding sides will be confronted with run-getting against time. Senior B Grade Invicta. —Houston, Rimmer, Bryan, Everett, Mellor, Moore, Davies.
