Bidding rose to £1,410 for a live■oomed bungalow in Alexandra Avenue, Mount Albert, when Rutherford, Robinson and Austin passed the property in. A recently-built bungalow at Onewa Road, Birkenhead, was passed in at £1,075, and a property in Vancouver. Road, Mount Albert, containing a small dwelling, was passed in at £350. * * * A property at Pukekura consisting of 2 25 acres, offered at auction today by Wm. A. Horne, Ltd., was withdrawn after the bidding failed to reach the reserve level. Wm. A. Ilorne, Ltd., also offered a four-roomed bungalow and section in Pawa Road, Royal Oak, which fetched £642 after a brisk sale. ♦ ♦ ♦ . A house of eight rooms on a section at No. 558 Mount Eden Road was withdrawn after the bidding had reached £2,000 at the rooms of Messrs. Palethorpe and Farkes today. * * >s= Messrs. Paletliorpe and Parkes offered also two business sites fronting on Remuera Road, close to the Victoria Avenue junction. The first was withdrawn when the bidding had reached £I,OOO, but the second with another frontage to a right-of-way, although withdrawn at .'21,200, was. sold shortly after the auction for £1,300. * * * A property in Vermont Street, off Pousonby Road together with a six-roomed house, offered at auctipn by Messrs. Paletliorpe and Parkes was sold, for £825. This firm offered, finally, a corner section and two cottages fronting East and North Streets, just off Karangahape Road. The bidding ran from £I.OOO to a limit of £1,500, when the property was withdrawn.
