MASTER BUILDERS MEET

YEAR’S ACTIVITIES REVIEWED During tile year the Auckland Master Builders’ Association had continued its usefulness as a means of protection for and assistance to those engaged in the trade, stated the report of the committee presented at the annual meeting- held last evening. Mr. Colo presided over a large attendance of members. The report further stated that it was a cause for regret that more members did not make themselves acquainted with the work that was being done in their interests. The apprenticeship committee had held regular meetings throughout the year and the association was indebted to Messrs. V. A. Coyle, C. W. Ravenhall, G. G. Pollard and R. A. Cornish for their services on that important body. The federation executive, of which Mr. Coyle was a member, had continued its valuable services particularly by watching legislation that was likely to affect the building industry, and there was no doubt of its great .usefulness. During the year several arbitration cases had been brought before the association, and tlie necessary arrangements for conducting them were made. There had been the usual number of minor disputes. Mr. Cole was accorded a vote of thanks for his services as president during the past year. Officers were elected as follow President, Mr. R. A. Cornish; vicepresidents, Messrs. C. W. Ravenhall and C. J. Bishop; treasurer, Mr. J If Hutchison; auditor, Mr. C. J. Bishopcommittee, Messrs. G. G. Pollard \V J. Mann, IST. Cole, O. E. Bartleet, T. F. Buckly, V. A. Coyle, S. 1-- Wallath, P. W.
