HURRICANE AT FIJI

FLOODS IN NAVUA AND REWA RIVERS NO DAMAGE YET Reed. 11.30 a.m. SUVA, Today. The hurricane reported, to be ap- ! proaching has centred north of Suva and is apparently travelling southeast. There is a heavy gale at Suva, where the barometer reads 29.15. Taveuni, where the barometer registers 28.923, is apparently receiving the brunt of the storm. There are heavy hoods in the Navua and Rewa Rivers. The water is within six inches of the floor of the Nausori sugar mill, and is still rising. No serious damage is yet reported and it is hoped the storm j centre will pass north of Fiji.
