man breaks a leg A compound fracture of the right leg was received by Mr. Charles Payne of 51 Empire Road, Epsom, as the re suit of being knocked down by a motor-car while crossing the road aftei alighting from another motor-car at the corner of Merivale Avenue and St Andrew’s Road, Epsom, early last He was removed to the Auckland Hospital, where his condition if stated to be Improved.
