Christmas Party Given in J.C.L. Rooms

Mrs. J. D. Webster is Hostess for Afternoon Bridge and afternoon tea were enjoyed by a circle of friends yesterday at a jolly Christmas party in the J.C.L. tearooms. THE hostess for the afternoon was Mrs. J. D. Webster, who wore a black georgette ensemble, with a pinky beige straw hat. Iceland poppies and bright-hued gladioli decorated the tea table, and a festive note was added by gay favours*. Quite a large corner space had been screened off, and hanging baskets of ferns and potted palms made the enclosure very attractive. THOSE PRESENT Mrs. Heath Freest chose a honey beige georgette and lace gown, with hat to tone. Mrs. John Fuller was wearing a patterned ring velvet gown, with straw hat to tone. Mrs. Kay Stratton chose a cerise jumper suit, with black hat. Mrs. W. Tugby was in an ivory ensemble, relieved with chartreuse green, and green hat. Mrs. Kassens had on a smart black silk ensemble, with black hat, ospreytrimmed. Mrs. J. Hopwood wore black, rose, and beige patterned ring velvet, with a black hat. Mrs. Ilyauiason had on black gorgette, touched with green, a black hat trimmed with green, and black ospreys, and fox furs. Mrs. F. Taylor was wearing blonde lace, with a beige baku hat. Mrs. W. Smallbone wore a beige georgette ensemble, with hat to tone. Mrs. Copeland was wearing blueflowered crepe de chine, with a navy blue hat.
