Prendergast has returned to Auckland after a' visit to Canterbury and Wellington. * * * Miss Biddy Philcox is leaving this evening for Havelock North, where she will be the guest of Mrs. Douglas Williams. * * * Mrs. 11. Dunn, who has been spending the past few months in Sydney, has returned to her home in Jutland Road, Takapuna. * * * Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Bertenshaw, of Wellington, Colonel and Mrs. Hood, and Mrs. J. Linnell, of Kaiwaka, are guests at Hotel. Miss M. O’Neill, of Torquay, England, who has been staying at Takapuna during the past year, left on Friday for Sydney to join the Narkunda en route to Karachi, India. * * * Mr. and Mrs. R. Buchanan, of Quadrant Road, Onehunga, returned home on Monday. Their tour has included visits to Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, Picton, Blenheim, Mount Cook and National Park. The Edwin Watkins Memorial Prize has been won by Miss Florence Edwards. The prize is awarded each year at the Christchurch Training College, and is made by the masters of the college, the principal stating that the award was unanimous.
