TIVOLI
“THE LITTLE WILD CAT”
America’s “Old South” affords the beautiful background for “The Little Wildcat,” the Warner Brothers’ talking production, which is now at the Tivoli Theatre.
“The Little Wildcat” is a sparkling comedy-drama. The original story is by Gene Wright. “The Little Wildcat” cast includes Audrey Ferris, James Murray, George Fawcett, Robert Edeson, Hallam Cooley, and Doris Dawson. Fawcett appears as a Civil War veteran, aristocratic and domineering, but intensely devoted to his incorrigible granddaughters, played by Miss Ferris and Miss Dawson.
Practically all the action takes place on the plantation of the fiery old gentleman. The romantic interest centres about his grand-daughters and their flirtations with Murray, as a young aviator, and Cooley, as a home-town youth. Edeson, once Fawcett’s commanding officer, is his personal servant—checker opponent, and golfmate.
A brilliant collection of talking featurettes completes the programme.
