RESTORING BROOMS
Brooms that have been allowed to rest upon their heads become crushed and spoiled. To restore them, hold the head in the steam of tile kettle. Half fill the latter, and when the steam is issuing strongly from the spout hold the broom head to it. in this way the bristles will straighten out again. Keep the head moving in the steam and occasionally pass tile hand over it, but take Care not to get the hand in the way of the steam, too lest it be burnt.
