From Our Own Correspondent DARGAVILLE. Today. Whangarci (challenger) visited Dargaville on Friday and met the Dargaviiio representatives in a match for the PhillijT Shield. Whangare. won by a margin of 17 point*. The results were, Dargaville playerbeing mentioned first: Mesdamee G. X. Hayes and L. R. Capp lost to Mesdames Hall and Harrison by one poin Mesdames G. S. Mitchell and \V. A. Peterson lost to Mesdames Walker and Lowrie by 16 points. In a few appropriate remarks the president of the Dargaville Club handed th«£ shield to Mrs. Walker.
