This season Polly’s Picture developed a habit of “slow motion” at the barrier, which cost her a couple of races, but in her last start she was beaten, after having everything in her favour. T. Grimmond intends, all going well, to take the daughter of Prince Chide to Carterton this month to compete in the Wairarapa Cup. Groat’s Team Increases Iloroto. the aged pacing gelding by Norminston—Belle of the Ball, who recently showed a return of form lor Trainer F. Mills, has transferred to Sid Groat’s stable, who also has taken over a promising novice which claims relationship to Nita Bell and All Bell. After making a fine showing at Whangarei, where he ran second to Vanity Boy in the mile, Haroto spread-eagled a big field at the Auckland October fixture over a 12-furlong course. He should give Reinsman Groat a further chance of getting on the drivers’ honours list.
