STEERING-WHEEL BREAKS

MOTORIST CUT ON HEAD

When the steering-wheel collapsed, a motor-truck crashed into the centrepole at the corner of Kitchener and Wellesley Streets at 1.15 today and the driver, Mr. Roy Gibson, of Te Awamutu, was thrown on to the roadway. He received a bad cut on the head and was taken to the St. John Ambulance Station in Rutland Street, where he received attention. It is not thought that he is seriously hurt.
