Dense, curious crowds were present in the environs of the Aix-les-Bains Town Hall for the wedding of the Aga Khan, the highest prince of India, and Mile. Caron, in the presence of a record gathering of journalists and photographers, who. during the last fortnight, have given Mile. Carron no peace. She carried herself with great dignity, looking charming in a dazzling gown, in which emerald and turquoise predominated. It is understood that her trousseau cost £S,OOO. She remains a Catholic. The Grand Imam of the Paris Mosque insists that there is nothing irregular in the Aga Khan’s marrying one whose religion recognises one divinity. The Imam later conducted a religious ceremony. The Mayor, who performed the civil ceremony, conferred the freedom of the city on the princely couple.
