CREW CAPSIZED
MISHAP ON HARBOUR When the 14-footer, Yvonne, manned by three Northcote youths, Messrs. Eric Hurley, W. Simpson and R. Skipworth, was running before the wind yesterday morning in Little Shoal Bay, between Northcote and Birkenhead, the vessel nose-dived and capsized and the crew was thrown into the water. The plight of the three boys was observed by a ferry steamer, and a launch, both of which immediately went to the crew’s assistance. The oil launch picked them up and landed them at Northcote not much the worse for their adventure. The yacht was secured by the same launch and towed ashore.
