PARENTS’ DAY HELD

MOUNT ROSKILL SCHOOL The annual school exhibition of work and parents’ day at the Mount Roskill School on Saturday was opened by Mr. G. C. Munns, M.P. Despite the stormy weather of the afternoon, very large numbers of parents and friends were present and enjoyed the displays of work in the classrooms. An attractive feature was the exhibition of folk dancing given on the lawn by girls of the school. Selections were played by a band from the Blind Institute. The grounds were lighted at night, when a large crowd assembled to enjoy dancing and other forms of entertainment. The Auckland Boys’ Grammar School Band played a splendid programr .e. An energetic committee arranged a number of stalls, which raised a good sum toward the school grounds improvement fund.
