The balance sheet was returned from the Audit Office without any tags. A request was received from the Vvaitakaruru Ratepayers’ Association ask§Lf+°r consideration of the question of extending the board’s area to include the area west of the Maukoro Canal at present administered by the Lands Drainage Department. Members were not adverse to the proposal, provided the area was constituted a separate ward, and decided to ask for more information at the same time expressing a willingness to discuss the matter fully with persons interested at the next meeting. ! It was agreed to consider the ques- ! tion of subdividing the district into wards xn the new year. Advice was received that the Han- : raki Plains County was being revalued in time for next financial year. Instructions were given to take legal action to obtain payment of all rates I outstanding on December 31.
