PRAYERS BEFORE PICNICS

EARLY CHURCH SERVICE BISHOP CHERRINGTON’S EXPERIMENT From Our Oxen Correspondent HAMILTON, Today. With the object of providing worship for parishioners and others who contemplate spending the day on excursions or picnics, Bishop Ciherrir\gton has arranged for a special service at 6.30 a.m. tomorrow. The Bishop declined to enter the controversy between Canon James and Nonconformist ministers. “I don’t care tuppence for Canon James’s views, and this is purely an experiment,” he said. “I am simply hoping to provide excursionists with the opportunity to say prayers before going out for the day.”
