’At the conclusion of the Otahuhu fixture, J. S. Shaw sent Florent to his owner. The pacer was just beginning to come to hand nicely and it looked as if the Epsom trainer would soon have landed the Florizel gelding a winner - Owner Sampson has since sent Florent to Te Awamutu, where he is being prepared for future engagements by A. W. Broughton.
