IRIS TO SAIL
DEFECT IN SYDNEY CABLE The Pacific Cable Board’s repair ship Iris is to sail from Auckland at 8.30 o’clock next Tuesday morning to effect repairs to the Wellington-Svdnev cable The scene of operations will be about 240 miles out from Wellington. The vessel, which is at her usual moorings off Devonport, has been lying in port for some time now, her last trip having been to lay new cable on the Norfolk Island-Suvs section
