SALE BY CITY COUNCIL

Conditional upon the land being used for road improvement within 12 months, four sections at the intersection of Station and Crowhurst Streets are to be sold to the Newmarket Borough Council. This was decidedly the City Council last evening. * The price is to be based on what the property cost the City Council i n addition to rates and all outgoings and interest from the date of purchase by the city until the time of transfer to the Newmarket Council.

The Newmarket Council's plans are to construct a road connecting Crowhurst Street with Gillies Avenue to improve traffic conditions at this point.
