CHENILLE EMBOSSED GOWN WORN BY BRIDE
HAYWARD— POTTER At the Church of Christ, Onehunga, which was specially decorated by the members of the church for the occasion, Mr. H. P. Levy, evangelist, officiated at the marriage of Miss Una Potter, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Potter. “Oranga,” One Tree Hill, to Mr. Clifford A. Hayward, youngest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. K. Beauvais Hayward, Dunedin. The bride was charming in a gown of ivory embossed chenille georgette over pink, with ankle-length panels of georgette and a bcrtlie collar falling to the waist at the back. A handembroidered veil, worn as a mob cap with circlet of orange blossom, and a beautiful shower bouquet, completed the ensemble. The two bridesmaids. Miss Hollingsworth and Miss Cocks, wore frocks of duchess blue georgette, with hats to match and bouquets in toning shades. Tlio little train-bearer, Miss Shirley Patterson, was prettily frockcd in apricot frilled net over shot taffeta, with a ribbon head-dress. Air. Lloyd McKechnie was best man, and Air. T. McDougrall acted as groomsman. Airs. C. Smith presided at the organ. During the signing of the register, Airs. J. Pilkington sang “Somewhere a Voico is Calling.” A reception was held later at the residence of the bride’s parents, where about 70 guests were entertained. The rooms were attractively arranged with streamers and bowls of summer flowers. Airs. Potter received the guests wearing a frock of mulberry crepe de chine and embossed chenille, with a hat to match and fox furs. She carried a bouquet of flowers in toning shades. Airs. Hayward wore a frock of satin morocaine, with cherry and beige trimming. A hat to tone was worn with an ermine necklet. A cherrycoloured bouquet was carried.
