GARDEN FETE AT MT. ALBERT

A garden fete, to be opened by the Countess of Orford, will be held in the grounds of the residence of Mrs. J. W. Tattersfield, “Puriri Puke,” Allandale Road, Mount Albert, on Saturday afternoon. During the afternoon selections will be played by the band of the Auckland Regiment. The proceeds will go to the Mission to Seamen. Nancy Carroll’s next starring talkie for Paramount will be the film adaptation of Joseph Conrad’s famous book, “Victory.” Richard Arlen will play the leading male role, and Warner Oland will be featured.
