RUAHINE FROM HOME.—A further radio message received by the New Zealand Shipping Company states that the liner Ruahine is now expected to arrive at Wellington at daylight on Thursday from London and Southampton.
MAKURA FOR 'FRISCO.—In continuation of her voyage from Sydney,, the Union Company’s R.M.S. Makura leaves Wellington at three o’clock this afternoon for Rarotonga, Papeete, and San Francisco.
MOERAKI UNDOCKED.—The Moeraki was undocked this morning, and berthed at the Central Wharf to complete her overhaul and survey. She leaves Auckland on Thursday for Sydney, and sails from Sydney on December 13 in the Sydney-Fiji service.
KAITOKE REPORTS.—According to a radio message received by the local office of the Union Company, the collier Kaitoke is due at Auckland at 6 a.m. tomorrow from Gladstone, Queensland. She has been allotted a berth at the King’s Wharf, and will pay off here to undergo overhaul and survey.
KAPONGA LEAVES MELBOURNE.— Advice received by the local office of the Union Company states that the steamer Kaponga, en route from South Australian ports, left Melbourne at 11 a.m. last Saturday with cargo for discharge at Auckland, Portland, New Plymouth, Tarakohe and Lyttelton. She is due here on Sunday.
WARNING TO SHlPPlNG.—Shipping is warned that H.M.S. Dunedin will be carrying out full calibre gun practice in the Hauraki Gulf tomorrow. The warship left for the Gulf yesterday morning and is expected to return on Thursday. H.M.S. Veronica left, for the Gulf this morning.
PARRACOMBE REPORTS. Radio advice received by the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company states that the steamer Parracombe is expected to arrive at Auckland at 4 p.m. tomorrow from Montreal. The vessel is bringing general cargo for discharge at this port and Australia.
ONEHUNGA NEW PLYMOUTH SERVICE.—Owing to the Christmas holidays the Northern Company’s Ngapuhi .will leave Onehunga for New Plymouth on Friday, December 27, instead of Thursday, December 26. Xew Plymouth will be left on Saturday, December 2S, for Onehunga, instead of the Friday. lONIC TO COMPLETE.—Leaving Wellington tomorrow for Napier and Auckland, the White Star liner lonic is due here on Saturday to complete her loading, under the agency of L. D. Nathan and Co. She is scheduled to sail finally from this port on December 31 for Southampton and London, via Panama. CANADIAN TRANSPORTER DUE TOMORROW.— The Canadian National Steamships vessel, Canadian Transporter, left Napier last night for Auckland to complete her loading for New York, Boston and Halifax. Due here tomorrow morning, she will berth at Prince’s Wharf and after loading is finished, will take in fuel oil and sail on Thursday raorning. ,
PORT DARWIN FROM NEW YORK.— Early this morning the C. and D. Line’s steamer Port Darwin arrived at Auckland from New York, and later berthed at the Queen's Wharf to unload the local portion of her cargo, under the agency of Heather Roberton, Ltd. The vessel 1 loaded 2,000 tons of iron at Middlesboro’ for Wellington, and left there on Octo- ; ber 3 fox* New York, where she arrived on October 20, after experiencing a rough passage aci'oss the Atlantic. Further cargo was loaded at New York, and the vessel cleai'ed there on November 2. Newport News was reached on November 3, and after bunkering, she left again the next day. Panama was reached on November 10, aixd further coal was taken on board. Transit through the canal was granted the following day. Fine weather was experienced from New York until six days ago, when the Port Darwin ran into strong westerly gales and high head seas, which lasted until arrival here. From New York to Auckland the Port Danwin averaged 13.05 knots throughout. The following passengers arrived by the Port Darwin:—Miss I. Oellingrath, Mrs. S. Burrows, Mr. and Mrs. M. McClounen; wireless operators, Messrs. G. O’Hara and A. W. Perrett; chief engineer, Mr. J. Robertson; second, Mr. J. S. Struthers; third, Mr. C. Jullien; fourth, Mr. G. Symington; fifth, Mr. J. C. Wilkinson; sixth, Mr. T. H. Bone; refrigerating engineers, Messrs. R. E. Threefall and J. S. Lansden; chief steward, Mr. F. Mills. It is hoped to dispatch the Port Dar-t win tomorrow evening for. Napier, "Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, and Dunedin, to complete her discharge of cargo. MAUNGANUI FROM SYDNEY.—The Union Company’s intercolonial passenger steamer Maunganui returned to Auckland early this morning from Sydney, and berthed at the Central Wharf to land her passengers, mails and cargo. The vessel left the New South Wales port at 3 p.m. last Friday, and experienced a fair weather passage across the Tasman Sea. The following passengers arrived by the Maunganui:— First saloon: Mr. R. ULIMAROA AT SYDNEY. —The Huddart, Parker’s intercolonial passenger steamer Ulimaroa arrived at Sydney at 8 o’clock this morning from Auckland. She leaves there again at noon on Friday for Wellington.
KOUTUNUI TO SAIL. —The Richardson Dine vessel Koutunul. which has been undergoing an extensive overhaul and having oil engines fitted, is expected to go on her trial run shortly' and to sail for the East Coast at the end of the week.
NIAGARA IN PORT. —Yesterday afternoon the Union Company’s R.M.S. Niagara arrived at Auckland from A ancouver and way ports, and berthed at the Prince’s Wharf to land passengers, mails and cargo. The Niagara experienced stormy weather after leaving Vancouver, and again approaching Suva. Head -winds and moderate seas were encountered between Suva and Aucklanu.
