EMPRESS, NEWTON

The current programme the Empress Theatre, Newton, will be screened for the last time this evening. This includes “Gentlemen of the Press.” an all-talking melodrama of American newspaper life, starring Walter Huston, followed by several most entertaining short talkie featurettes. The entirely new programme to be screened at the Empress Theatre tomorrow’ will be headed by the spectacularly successful talkie, “The Broadway Melody.” This tuneful all-talking, singing and dancing show stars Bessie Love. Anita Page and Charles King ir. a dramatic tile of the loves of stage players. “The Wedding of the Painted Doll” and “Broadway Melody” are two of the many pieces introduced in this talkie.
