SATURDAY'S MEETING Three of New Zealand's champion athletes will compete at the Lynndale Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club’s sports meeting:, to be held at the club’s grounds at New Lynn on Saturday afternoon next. The champions are:—J. W. Savidan, three times in succession one mile, three mile, and cross-country champion of the Dominion; A. J. Llliott. 100yds and 220yds sprint champion of 2sew Zealand; and J. H. Wade, halfmile amateur cycle champion of the Dominion. A feature of the meeting will be a relay race between representative teams of the Soccer. League and Rugby football clubs .of the district. Owing to the structure of the track, there will be no 220yds sprint, and a corresponding event of 300yds has been inserted in the programme instead. In the half-mile invitation scratch cycle race seven selected opponents will meet J. IT. Wade. There will also be a baby show and numerous novelty events.
