HEAVY RAINFALL

NOVEMBER’S WEATHER

The rainfall in November was the

heaviest for any month this year. The total was 7.09 in., which exceeded the average for the month by 3.89 in. Only 1.89 in was registered in November. 1928.

Reviewing November’s weather, the Government observer. Mr. H. M. Vin-

rent, states that unsettled, wet weather prevailed. Ra:n fell on 19 days, and the month's hottest day was November 26, when the thermometer registered 72deg. Bright sunshine was considerably below the average and westerly winds prevailed. A heavy thunderstorm occurred on November 27, when torrential rain fell. The average reading of the barometer was unusually low, temperatures being normal.
