MRS. S. A. HULBERT Mrs. •Sarah Ann Hulbert, who ha. 3 died at the age of 91, was born in Bristol, England, and went to Melbourne in 1857. She married in 1861 and came to New Zealand with her husband in the steamer Arawata j 1876. Mr. Hulbert died over fori years ago. Mrs. Hulbert is survived by three v a family of seven, Mrs. T. G. Weigh of 6 Jubilee Avenue, Devonport, an . Messrs. John Hulbert, of New Plymouth, and William Hulbert, Svdne: There are 14 grandchildren and fob great-grandchildren. MRS. H. J. WALTERS Mrs. Harriett Jane "Walters. widoof the late Mr. William Walters, well known throughout the province as proprietor of Glenora Park, Takanini, died last evening. The second daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Willis, who were among the earliest settlers of Papakura, and who, in 1853, opened the first business in Papakura, Mrs. Walters was married to Mr. Walters at Christ Church, Papakura, in 1882, and they spent the whole of their married life at Glenora. When her husband died in 1919 Mrs. "Walters removed to Papakura, where she had lived until her death. Mrs. Walters is survived by two sons, Mr. Harold Walters, of Karaka, and Mr. Norman W'alters. of Otahuhu; and two daughters, Mrs. Vincent Smith, of Gisborne, and Mrs. Norris Hewlett, of Takapuna. There are 15 grandchildren. MR. I. BAILEY Another early Auckland colonist, Mr. Isaac Bailey, died yesterday at the ago of 34. Born at Titchmarsh, in Northamptonshire, Mr. Bailey came to New Zealand in the ship Annie Wilson in 1863, and went to the goldfields in the South Island, and also to Thames, where he dug with success. Later be was stationed for many years as foreman in connection with the construction of the railway between Auckland and Hamilton. He was an original member of the Baptist Church in Auckland, and at his death was one of the oldest members of fte Auckland Baptist Tabernacle. Bailey died many years ago. members of the family are alive.
