BARON BLEDISLOE OF LYDNEY whose appointment as GovernorGeneral of New Zealand, to succeed His Excellency Sir Charles Fergusson, is announced today. Lord Bledisloe was formerly Sir Charles Bathurst. He is a noted agriculturist, and has a wide practical knowledge of all branches of farming. He is also a keen sportsman, being particularly interested in golf and shooting.
