A BEACH GAME
One morning during the holidays when you set off for the beach, collect your toy soldiers (especially mounted oij.es and savages), matchboxes, small pieces of wood, string and some strong paper. When you get there, choose a nice firm stretch of sand and mark it off with stones or pieces of wood Then you have the scene set for a war in the desert, an Arab camp, a native village or what you will. You can make tents out of the paper, huts and bridges with the match-boxes, and an oasis with palm trees made of matches anti seaweed. And the sea will supply as much water as you want for streams or pools. • There's no end to i the jolly tilings you can think of and if you try really hard you can m&k* i it look most exciting. By the way, if I there are any camels in your Noah s • Ark. don't forget them—they'll look i splendid.
