TUTANEKAI SAILS MONDAY. —The Marine Department’s maintenance steamer Tutanekai, now at Central Wharf, is to sail at 4 a.m. on Monday for Northern lights. THE KAPONGA. —The Union-Company advises that the Kaponga, from Adelaide and Edithberg, is expected to clear Melbourne today for Auckland, Portland, New Plymouth, Tarakohe arid Lyttelton. “ALL WELL" ON CORINTHIC.—A wireless message received yesterday by the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company from the liner Corinthic, which left Wellington last Friday for Southampton and'London, stated; “Fine weather since departure. All well on board.”

RADIO FROM MAIMOA. —The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company received a wireless message yesterday from the Maimoa, en route from Brisbane, stating that she will arrive at Bluff on Monday afternoon to commence loading for London.

lONIC DELAYED. —News was received by the Shaw, Savill and- Albion Company yesterday that their liner lonic was delayed at Bluff by rain. She will now leave there at noon today for Wellington, and is due there on Monday morning to proceed with her loading. Later she fills up at Napier and Auckland.

ARMADALE LEAVES NEW YORK.— The New Zealand Shipping- Company has been notified by cable that the A. and A. Line chartered steamer Armadale sailed from New York last Friday and Newport News on Sunday, with general cargo to discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland about December 31. # CANADIAN TRANSPORTER RETURNING. The Canadian National Steamships vesseP Canadian Transporter left Wellington yesterday for Napier to continue her homeward loading. She is expected to leave Napier on Monday for Auckland, and should arrive here on Wednesday morning. She will complete her loading for New York, Boston and Hailfax at this port, and will probably sail for those ports on Wednesday evening. UNCHARTED ROCK.—The Marine Department has been notified that an uncharted rock has been located with only 10 feet of water over it near the entrance to Port Hardy. Its position is approximately 40deg 43£min south and 173 deg 54imin. east, almost in a direct line from Nile Head on d’Urville Island and Cape Stephens, on Stephens Island. The rock is out of the usual run of vessels, but would be a danger to vessels seeking shelter. When the Tutanekai returns from her visit to the Northern lighthouses in a few weeks, she will examine the locality and verify the position of the rock.

WAIPAHI DEPARTS. —The Union Company’s Island fruit steamer Waipahi was dispatched yesterday afternoon for Suva, where she loads for Auckland.

FALSTERBO FROM PORT ARTHUR. —With a cargo of petroleum products, the Swedish motor-ship Falsterbo has cleared Port Arthur, Texas, for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is under charter to the Texas Oil Company and is expected to reach Auckland about January 20. NIAGARA LEAVES SUVA.—Cable advice has been received by the Union Company that the Royal Mail liner Niagara left Suva at 12.30 yesterday afternoon for Auckland, where she is due at 10 a.m. on Monday morning wi.h passengers, mail and cargo. She has been allotted a berth at the Prince's Wharf. The vessel is scheduled to leave Auckland at five o’clock on Tuesday evening in continuation of her voyage from Vancouver to Sydney.

WOOL SHIPS. —The George H. Scales Co , Ltd., has chartered the motor-ship Anglo-Canadian to load wool in New Zealand for the United Kingdom and the Continent during January and February, and the steamer Benvenue to take the loading berth at Dominion ports during March, also for the United Kingdom and Continent. Both vessels will proceed via the Panama route. The motor-ship Anglo-Canadian hs owned by the Nitrate Producers S.S. Co., Ltd., London, and was built last year by Short Bros., Ltd., Sunderland. Her principal dimensions are as follow:-—5,2t>8 tons gross, 3,246 tons net; length, 426 feet, beam 68 feet, depth 24.7 feet. Her engines are of a normal horse-power of The Benvenue is a sister ship to the Ben liner Bencruachan, which Is also under charter to. the Scales Company. The Benvenue was built in 1927 by C. Connell and Co., Glasgow. Her principal dimensions are: 5,290 tons gross, 3,750 tons net; length, 429 feet; beam, 53.9 feet; depth, 30 feet. Her engines are of 675 normal horse-power. The Scales Company reports that the steamer Bencruachan, previously announced to load in New Zealand, is due in the Dominion on December 20. She is fixed to load at Wellington, Tolaga Bay, Napier, Timaru, and Port -Chalmers in a rotation not yet decided upon. The vessel will sail finally on January 10 for the United Kingdom and Continent, via Panama.
