AFTERNOON PARTY

WEDDING ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATED A very enjoyable function took place ,on Friday afternoon at the residence of Mrs. v H. Pearson, Mount Eden, in honour of the anniversary of Mrs. Hamlin’s wedding. In an appropriate speecli'-the hostess presented the guest with a cut-glass .scent bottle and a bouquet of roses. A clever competition was played, prizes being won by Mrs. Hankins and Miss R. Burk. > During the afternoon items were contributed tjy Mrs. Burke, songs; Mrs. Burk and Mrs. M. Judd, musical items; Mrs. Parkhurst, elocutionary items. Mrs. Pearson 'received her guests wearing a pretty frock of blue flora silk. VAmong those present were: Mrs. Hankins, Mrs. McDonald, Mtrs. Judd, Mrs. Hine, Mrs. Shaw, Mrs. Hanki-ns, Mrs. Pankhurst, Mrs. Burk, Miss R. Burk, Mrs. Nixon, Miss Obrine.
