Miss Polini had married an Australian, i Miss Polini was a sister o£ Mrs. Owen Nareq, known on the stage as Marie Polini. Her daughter Patricia is to inherit £20,000 when she is 24. This decision was given by Mr. Justice Long Innes at Sydney, New South Wales. It deprives the two sons of Mr. and Mrs. Naves of reteiving that ! sum.
Miss Polini's plan that her daughter should be brought up by Mr. and Mrs. Nares did not, materialise, the girl's father obtaining an order that she remain in Australia. Miss Polini died in August, 1927, leaving £B,OOO. which is to accumulate for 16 years, before passing to her 'daughter. Mr. Owen Nares, speaking to a representative of an English newspaper, said: "I am perfectly happy that my boys will not come into any of their aunt’s money. We should have loved to bring Patricia up as our own daughter, but she is in good hands now with her Australian grandparents.” Mrs. Nares added; "The prospect ot this money for my boys when they reached the age of 24 would have robbed them ot all incentive during the most important years ot their development. Now- they-will be fpreed to develop their own initiative to make a way in the world.”
