TARRED AND FEATHERED
DOCTOR’S CHARGE AGAINST LATE PREMIER’S SON BRITISH COLUMBIA CASE (Received 1 p.m.) PENTICON (8.C.) Thurs. Charles E. Oliver, a son of the late provincial Premier, Mr. John Oliver, was arrested and released on ball, being charged by Dr. V. E. Latimer with assault and causing greviotts bodily harm. Dr. Latimer charges that he was stripped naked and tarred and feathered by three men, after being kidnapped and driven to an Indian reserve in a motor-car. The victim was left with only his overcoat. He walked home. He says he recognised Oliver’s voice.
