Mr. G. Baildon. Mayor of Auckland, will leave for Wellington on Tuesday to attend a meeting of the executive of the Municipal Association and a meeting of the New Zealand branch of the British .Empire Cancer Research Society. Mr. Baildon will return to Auckland on Thursday. Mr. E. F. Hildreth, of Newton, formerly deputy-conductor of the Palmerston North Garrison Band, has been appointed conductor of the Takapuna Municipal Band in succession to Mr. Rex Wills, who has received mother musical appointment in the city.
