TAKAPUNA FIXTURE LITTLE WORK THIS MORNING TINKER FOR DUELLONA The Takapuna track is in good order after th© heavy rain, but there was very little fast work recorded this morning. The llags were well out from the rails. Crimestor was in front of Orchus at th© end of six furlongs in 1.22 3-5. The two-year-old King Ford went the first three furlongs with them and was then eased. Crimestor is expected to run a great race in the Takapuna Plate tomorrow. Briar Root displayed plenty of dash in her sprint over three furlongs, which she cut out in 38 4-5. It was a good effort and shows the Feilding mare to b© in good nick. Duellona finished within half a length of Quex at the conclusion of half a mile, run in the smart time of 50. Lady Quex looks particularly well, and will probably be the favourite in tomorrow’s sprint. Duellona shaped pleasingly. She is to be ridden by A. Tinker in the Takapuna Plate, and on her showing this morning she is going to take some beating. Light Tasks Red Day and Transformer were to have gone seven furlongs together, but they did not keep in company in what was only a useful work-out. Latest arrivals are F. Loomb, with Prodice, Flying Prince,* Nassau Lady. Biddy Comet, Cybele, Wild Time and Biddy’s Boy. J. Wallace, with Selle Stfer and Lucky Alice, both of whom are to run in th© Takapuna Plate. F. Tutchen, with Red Day, Master Roley and King Ford. A. Cook, with Letirim; G. Reid, with Terrapeen; and W. Stone, with Liaison. All th© above, with the addition of Volimond, Storm Fiend, Ridgemount, Hipo, The Swell, Orapai and Waitaunaha were given light tasks. Additional doubtful starters tomorrow are Motere, The Begum and Glenstar. FEILDING SCRATCHINGS Press Association FEILDING, Today. Feilding Jubilee meeting scratchings are as follow: Kiwi tea Handicap.—Break o’ Day. Feilding Stakes.—Hunting Cry. Feilding Cup.—Great Charter (10 a.m. today).
