AUCTIONEERS’ REPORTS Stock auctioneers report on sales held throughout the district during the past week us follow: Alfred Buckland and Sons. Ltd. —During the week we held sales at Westfield. Waitakaruru. and Maungakaramea, and a dairy sale and also a horse sale at Pukekohe. All classes of cattle continue to find ready buyers at ruling values. Best dairy cows made £l4 to £l9 10s; good cows, £ll to £l3 15s; second grade cows, iS 10s to £lO 15s: aged and inferior. £4 10s to £8 ss; best springing heifers, £l2 to £ls 10s; good heifers. £9 10s to £3l 17s 6d: small heifers, £5 15s to £9; empty young vows and heifers. £4 15s to £6 10s; store and boner cows, £2 10s to £6 ss; heavy prime young fat cows and heifers, £8 10s to £ll 10s; lighter fat cows and heifers. £6 to £8 7s 6d: fat steers. £3l 35s to £ls 12s 6d: four-year-old steers, £9 15s to £11: three to four-year-old steers. £S 10s to £9 15s: two to three-year-old steers. £7 10s to £8 3 0s; vearling to IS-months-old steers, £5 10s to £7 10s: cows with calves, £7 15s to £ll os: best 15 to 18-months-old dairy heifers, .SL JOs to £8 17s 6d; smaller heifers, £o H>s to £7 7s 6d; other heifers, £o 10s to £5 12s 6d; heavv bulls. £9 to £l3; sound young herd bulls. £6 6s to £l2 12s: other bulls, £3 10s to £6.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.. Ltd.—Sales were held during the past week at Westfield. Pukekohe, Waiuku, and Kaukapakapa. There was a steady demand for all classes of cattle at late rates. We quote:—Extra choice dairy cows and heifers, £ls to £2O 3 0s; good dairy cows and heifers, £lO to £l4 10s: others, £6 10s to £9 10s; aged cows and inferior heifers, £3 10s to £6; bulls, 3 guineas to 15 guineas; store and boner cows, £4 to £7 2s 6d; yearling to 18-months heifers, best £6 10s to £S 15s, others £4 to £6 ss: yearling to IS-months steers, £5 to £6 15s; two to 2£year steers, £7 to £8 15s: three to 3i-year steres, £9 to £IU 10s: four to 4 3-year steers. !JlO 12s im to £ll ss. Rat ami store pigs at Pukekohe last Thursday sold at Westfield quotations.
