FIREBLIGHT TROUBLE

NELSON THREATENED

(From Our Oion Correspondent) NELSON, Today. The Nelson Fireblight Committee at a meeting yesterday expressed the opinion that there was a real source of danger in the possibility of private persons bringing cuttings of trees, shrubs or plants down from the fireblight infected areas in their personal luggage. It was decided to take steps to make it more generally known that it was illegal to bring trees, shrubs, plants or cuttings from the North Island without a permit and thus to lessen the danger of fireblight being introduced into the district.
