MISHAP AT FERRY GANGWAY

MAN INJURES TWO RIBS

A painful accident befell Mr. A. G. Cook, of Hauraki Street, Birkenhead, last evening. When he was walking down the gangway at the Birkenhead wharf, from the 5.10 ferry boat he slipped on one of the battens and fell head-first through the gangway, hitting his side hard against one of the uprights. After medical attention by Dr. Craven, who found Mr. Cook had severely bruised two ribs, he was taken to his home.
