COLLISION WITH POLE

Frank Henry Pearce, of New Lynn, driver of a two-seater car, crashed into a telegraph pole outside the mental hospital at Avondale at about nine o’clock last evening, when, he was endeavouring to swerve past another car. The car was badly damaged, but the drivea* escaped with a few scratches.
