Tlie vexed question of affiliation fees which has been paramount in the deliberations of the Waikato Lawn Tennis Association at recent meetings has been settled providing the suburban associations are agreed. It was decided that the affiliation fee be Is a member for all clubs affiliated direct and 9d a member for members of clubs affiliated through a subassociation. Two amendments fixing lower fees were lost.
Tributes to the general efficiency of the Hamilton High School Cadets were paid by Colonel J. E. Duigan, actrng-commandant of the Northern Command* who inspected this unit on Monday. He also congratulated the company on its excellent performance at the recent rifle meeting at Penrose, where several successes were registered. Colonel Duigan was also impressed by a parade of Technical School Cadets and complimented the officers on an excellent march-past.
