ENJOYABLE DANCE TROPHIES PRESENTED About 100 couples spent an enjoyable evening at the Orpheum Hall, Onehunga, on Saturday evening, when the Manukau Rovers Football Club held its annual social and dance. Air. J. E. Green, president, paid a warm tribute to the women supporters of the club, whose efforts had largely contributed toward making the recent carnival a success, and thereby considerably augmenting the club’s finances. After the presentation of trophies, dancing was indulged in to the excellent music provided by the Felix Orchestra. Among those present were: The Mayoress of Onehunga, Miss Edna Morton, who wore turquoise blue eliarmeuse with gold shawl; Airs. G. Brimble, pink georgette: Mrs. A. Davidson, moonlight rayon: Mrs. W. Kirkham, black georgette: Mrs. A. Allan, black satin beaute; Mrs. W. Pickering, black lace net over satin beaute: Airs. AlcLaren, cerise ninon with primrose trimming; Mrs. C. .T. Williams, pink satin with georgette trimmings; Miss Ermels Alorton. silver tissue and black shawl; Miss Hilda Engel, black satin and silver lace, with apvicot shawl: Aliss T. Pepper, black satin With green posy and diament e trimming; Aliss P. Irive, flame beaded georgette and silver shawl; Aliss S. Gilbert, white georgette and silver lace shawl; Aliss T. AT. Crystall, biscuit crepe de chine and green; ATiss Doreen Davidson, pale blue rayon; Aliss Gwen Brain, vieux rose crepe de chine. Aliss D. Vickery was in black lace and georgette; Aliss Pansy Brimble, floral ninon, uneven hem; Aliss A. Donaldson, floral crepe de chine; Miss M. Frost, electric blue crepe de chine; Miss H. Jackson, biscuit crepe de chine; Miss E. Smith, black ring velvet with red ribbon bows; Miss-J. Auger, scarlet and black ninon; Miss Grace Allan, black chiffon velvet appliqued with taffeta medallions; Miss Ruby Dell, powder blue satin and pink shawl; Miss Eva Dodd, apricot taffeta with uneven hemline; Aliss I. Picknell, lemon crepe de chine with handkerchief skirt; Aliss Gladys Lloyd, scarlet satin; Aliss E. Tucker, pink taffeta with lemon silk; ATiss Thelma Lloyd, lemon satin; ATiss Nola White, apricot tulle and taffeta, with brilliant trimmings; ATiss Ivy Barr, powder blue georgette relieved-with gold diam ente. ATiss D. Kennedy had chosen blue georgette and silver lace on uneven hemline; Aliss E. Mallory, lavender georgette; Miss L. Mcllroy, blue crepe de chine with silver lace and apricot shawl; ATiss AI. O’Brien, mauve net and satin; Aliss Barbara AlcATaster, lime green georgette and lemon tulle; Miss Irene Allan, deep rose taffeta with dared frills; Aliss R. Taylor, bronze satin and georgette trimmings; Aliss L. Reed, silver lame and pink crepe de chine; ATiss E. Brown, blue taffeta; Aliss Vivienne de Thiery, ivory white chiffon with silv.er trimming; Miss Phyllis Pukntui, apricot flowered taffeta in Early Victorian style; Aliss ATarie Linkhorn, flame georgette and silver lace; Aliss Agnes Crosby,- rose-pink georgette and shjiwl; ATiss Dorothy Haddon, lettuce green georgette and chenille; Miss Mavis Wyllie, pink georgette trimmed with white.
